BEHOLD
BEHOLD, it’s not a word we use much anymore. It is the idea of taking into consideration, or wonder, but is more than a look, and more than a passing thought. To behold is to ponder as we look upon it. So, when they were told to “BEHOLD”, it was not so much to gaze upon the infant but to BEHOLD the answer to seven-hundred plus years of prayers; to BEHOLD their King, and to open their hearts to do His will. And this is where we begin today, to BEHOLD our King. With that in mind let’s open this Advent series with Luke 2.8-12
