The Law of Moses told the Jews what was clean and unclean. Their tradition made almost everyone but the most religious people unclean. Clean and unclean were meant to protect community health and well-being. It was never meant to be a crushing oppression of God’s people. Then Messiah came and turned all of their understanding upside down.
