My wife can tell you that I am a terrible spoiler. I am always guessing the surprise ending, ruining the surprise for those watching. However, on occasion I am taken by surprise, not because the story is written poorly, but because it is written masterfully, and still the ending was not obvious. Those are my favorite stories for years to come. I love a masterful surprise ending. The story the Bible tells us is just such a story. There is no bigger surprise ending than the resurrection of Jesus and what it means for all of us, death has been defeated and the kingdom has come.
