Title: Teach Them How to Walk This Way

Scripture Reference: 1 Timothy 1.1-20
Paul was writing to Timothy to tell him how to instruct the church to live as newly converted pagans. So much of the church today is really barely converted. They do not walk in the ways of the Lord but int he ways of the world and so these same principles apply. This week my focus will be on Paul’s instructions concerning the law and and his appeal to Timothy to not let the letter of the law become a stumbling block to a genuine walk of faith, knowing that as a Pharisee, well acquainted with the law, that he has to live by faith and in God’s grace rather than by the letter.
