In church and Western society the gospel of Jesus Christ has often been reduced to propositional statements about truth and life, but devoid of any real power to transform, becoming akin to psychological and sociological techniques for changing one’s self. But the gospel is not just ideas, philosophy, or technique. It isn’t about life improvement. It is a total and complete transformation, much more than meets the eye.
